OCCUPATIONALConsultation Services

A child’s role in life is to play and interact with other children. Our pediatric occupational therapist provides consultation services to parents, schools, and other professionals to help children perform daily activities they may find challenging by addressing sensory, social, behavioral, motor, and environmental issues.

Pediatric Therapy Occupational Consultation

Occupational consultation services focus on identifying areas of challenge and implementing effective and meaningful strategies to improve performance and participation in everyday life. An Occupational therapist can work with caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to support continuous daily progress in areas such as:

  • sensory processing

  • successful learning

  • self-regulation

  • participation in daily routines and activities

  • feeding challenges

  • fine motor/gross motor development

  • body awareness

  • handwriting

Consultation services also provide team members the opportunity to work together to solve problems by sharing information, coordinating activities, and teaching strategies across multiple settings.
