Telehealth Testing and Evaluations

At CBHS, we are committed to improving the mental health of our patients through innovative treatment options. We understand the importance of accessibility and convenience, and that's why we offer telehealth services for our patients. 

Telehealth Autism Evaluation Process 

Step 1:

Schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation with Dr. Scott. During this consultation she will listen to your concerns and ask some initial autism screening questions. She will determine if a telehealth evaluation is appropriate for your child. If so, the evaluation will be scheduled within two weeks.  

 
Step 2. Intake 

After your diagnostic appointment has been scheduled, you will receive a welcome email linking you to the online portal and intake packet, informed consent, notice of privacy policies, and practice paperwork. Next complete rating scales. Finally, upload relevant records, reports, and videos. All information must be received 1 week prior to your scheduled diagnostic appointment. 

 

Step 3. Diagnostic Interview with Dr. Scott 

Dr. Scott will conduct a thorough diagnostic interview with your child and family. This will include gathering information about your child’s developmental history, medical history, behaviors, social, communication, play skills,  and any current concerns.  


Step 4: Evaluation 
You and your child will meet with Dr. Scott through a secure telehealth platform. During the evaluation Dr. Scott will ask you questions and guide you through a brief play session with your child. These observations will be converted into scores and then interpreted along with the information obtained through the diagnostic interview and rating scales that have been completed. 

 

Step 5: Feedback Session/Diagnostic Evaluation 

Once the structured observation and assessments are complete, Dr. Scott will schedule a time for a feedback session. Feedback session typically occur within 2-3 weeks from date of structured observation. The feedback will include review of diagnostic findings and specific recommendations and resources based on your child’s individual needs and challenges. Dr. Scott will answer any questions your family may have. 

ADHD Telehealth Assessment Process

Step 2. Intake

Step 3. Clinical Interview with Dr. Scott 

Dr. Scott will conduct a thorough clinical interview with your child and family. This will include gathering information about your child’s developmental, medical, and educational history, as well as emotional, behavioral and social concerns.

 

Step 4: Rating Scales

Normed rating scales will be sent to parents, caregivers, teachers, and others involved in your child's life, with appropriate permission in place to communicate with outside parties. These rating scales will be scored and interpreted by Dr. Scott. 

Step 5: Feedback Session/Diagnostic Evaluation 

Once the evaluation is complete, Dr. Scott will schedule a time for a feedback session. Feedback session typically occur within 2-3 weeks from date of structured observation. The feedback will include review of diagnostic findings and specific recommendations and resources based on your child’s individual needs and challenges. Dr. Scott will answer any questions your family may have.
