Services
We offer a range of services to help children and teens with behavioral health issues and learning difficulties. Every child's needs are different and unique, so we pride ourselves in cultivating a diverse and educated staff of professionals.
Child and Teen Therapy

Therapy, also known as psychotherapy, involves therapeutic interactions between a therapist and a child/teen or family. It can help children/teens and families gain insight into problems and learn how to resolve the problems effectively, modify behavior, and improve functioning. There are several types of psychotherapy that involve different approaches, techniques, and interventions.
Testing

CBHS offers comprehensive testing services for children and adolescents including psychoeducational and psychological evaluations, as well as ADHD assessments and Autism evaluations. Psychological testing can help answer questions about developmental, emotional and behavioral functioning, learning issues, and academic concerns.
Group Therapy

Groups at CBHS are skill based and focus on improving emotion regulation, social anxiety, coping skills, and social skills. Children and teens are accepted after a clinical interview to determine if the group is appropriate for their presenting concerns and to ensure that the child/teen would benefit from the group. The groups are not designed for kids with severe cognitive or language delays, who are in need of 1:1 attention, or who struggle with aggression.
Behavioral Parent Training

Behavioral parent training (BPT) approaches recognize that parents play a crucial role in their child's development. Parents are empowered to skillfully respond to the day-to-day behavioral struggles their child may face. The goals of BPT are to help parents learn a new way of intervening and responding to problem behaviors so they can increase desirable behavior, reduce undesirable behavior, and improve parent-child interactions.
School Consultative Services

Some children may require enhanced problem solving with their school team. CBHS therapists work as members of the school teams to represent the client and family. As a team member, we provide evidence-based behavior management techniques to decrease problematic school behaviors and improve performance.
Teletherapy

We are happy to offer online counseling for your convenience. Due to Covid-19, meeting through video conferencing can bypass any travel restrictions and social distancing in place. We offer personalized tele-therapy via our secure HIPPA compliant platform.
Pediatric Occupational Consultation
Occupational consultation services focus on identifying areas of challenge and implementing effective and meaningful strategies to improve performance and participation in everyday life. An Occupational therapist can work with caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to support continuous daily progress.
